Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)
Kabi Jagadram Roy Government General Degree College

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Kabi Jagadram Roy Government General Degree College was established on April 18, 2017, two years after the establishment of the college following the guidelines of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), an autonomous body under the University Grants Commission (UGC). Since then the IQAC has been reconstituted periodically in accordance with the NAAC guidelines with Officer-in-Charge as Chairperson, a senior member of the teaching staff as its coordinator and other external and internal members.

The IQAC continuously works for the improvement and application of quality benchmarks for various academic and administrative activities of the college. The IQAC functions as an advisory and facilitating body by-

  • Monitoring teaching-learning activities so as to ensure quality education;
  • Reporting to the Teachers’ Council for further improvement of academic and extracurricular matters of the institution;
  • Collecting and analysing feedback from students, teachers, parents and alumni on quality-related curricular and institutional processes;
  • Organizing intra- and inter-institutional workshops and seminars on different themes;
  • Addressing the grievances of the students, if any;
  • Periodically conducting Academic and Administrative Audits, Green Audit and Gender Audit along with their follow-up activities;
  • Disseminating information on various quality parameters of higher education;
  • Preparing Self Study Report (SSR) for 1st cycle of accreditation as per the guidelines of NAAC;
  • Developing the overall quality culture of the institution.
